A night to remember at the Singapore Sports Awards
Singapore, August 23: It was a memorable evening for the Singapore Golf Association as James Leow won the Meritorious Award (Individual) along with bagging the team award with teammates Ryan Ang and Brandon Han at the Singapore Sports Awards held at the Orchard Hotel on Wednesday.
Organised by the Singapore National Olympic Council (SNOC) and Sport Singapore (SportSG), and supported by the Tote Board, the Singapore Sports Awards honour the most deserving individuals and teams in sports for the year 2022.
Leow enjoyed a stellar year in 2022 when he outclassed his higher ranked rivals to clinch the Thunderbird Collegiate and the Pacific Coast Amateur titles in the United States.
He also represented the Team International side that beat the United States at the prestigious Palmer Cup and finished in tied-31st place at the International Series Singapore on the Asian Tour last August.
The trio of Leow, Ang and Han also led Singapore to their best-ever result at the Nomura Cup last year when they won the silver medal at the team event. Leow, also took home the individual silver medal.
