Our SGA juniors Aaron Wee, Bruce Kwong, Chloe Ng, Denise Ng, Irvyn Tan, Jayden Loh, Passion Hsu, Sean Pang, and Troy Storm gained valuable experience by competing in the Singha Thailand Junior World Golf Championship 2022 at the Royal Hua Hin Golf Course.
2nd runner-up Bruce Kwong shares he was extremely grateful to have played well this week. He continued to say, “It was a real privilege to be in contention and play in the final group this week. The course layout was challenging especially with the hilly terrain and the small greens, it really required good course management and wise club selection. I’m happy that I managed to stay focused during the four rounds and trust my game.”
In the same division as Bruce Kwong, 4th runner-up Troy Storm recalls his first three rounds were not up to his standard until the final day. “I was contented that I was able to finish in the top 5 despite not playing my best. I felt if I had a few more days to adapt to the course, I would be able to score better and would have been able to finish higher. I’ll work hard and do my best to play better in the future,” expressed Troy.
In the female division, 3rd runner-up Passion Hsu expressed her excitement in taking part in an overseas tournament as a team with SGA. she said, “Winning something in this tournament gives me more confidence to battle future tournaments.”
